LAST LESSON. GOODBYE MALTA!

Hello everyone,

I'm writing from Madrid, my Malta experience is already finished. I'm going to write next my last day lesson in the CLIL course and some last impressions from the trip. I hope you have liked the posts.

Friday 12 July. Last lesson.

We started our last lesson of ICT’s course exploring Padlet. This is a tool that allows you to present different information in charts. You can insert titles, text and then add links to photos, videos, or other online materials. It’s very easy to operate, and you don’t need special knowledge to do it. It’s also useful for students, as they can use it to present materials in a more original way than Power Point. The only problem it has is that the free version only allows you to save 3 Padlets, so not very useful if you want to have all information in this platform, then you have to pay.

Later we move on to discover Thinglink. Teacher Valerie says it’s a really good way to present photos with some text so it’s for info graphics mainly. We spend some time trying these two apps and all the features till break time.

After the break, we invest some time using halfacrossword website. It allows you to create different crosswords and activities, such as sentence correction, sentence unscramble, number bingo, double puzzle, etc…

Puzzle maker is another app to create different activities, such as criss-cross, double puzzles, fallen phrases, match squares, cryptograms and more.

After trying all these resources, we invested our last ninety minutes in finishing our Webquest project and present it to the rest of the class, sharing ideas about all resources we had used. We say goodbye to each other and keep emails in case we need to further contact each other for educational and teaching purposes.

It has been a very nice idea to come to Malta to learn more things about CLIL and web resources for teachers. I have loved the course and the island, with all the Social Programme ETI offers. I look forward to come back to these wonderful islands in the future.

Thanks Malta!

Goodbye!
